Process Model

        The Chatham Women's Soccer recruitment process begins with the coaches. The coaches begin by identifying the team's needs for recruiting. After identifying this, the coaches attend games. It is the games responsibility to organize a tournament or high school games as well as showcasing a player. Once the coach observes the player a decision must be made;
  • IF NO: restart process at "Identify needs for recruiting"
  • IF YES: proceed to contacting the player.
        The coach is now responsible to contact the player. Now the process shifts to the player. The player receives an email from Chatham regarding recruitment. The player then has to decide if they want to play soccer in college
  • IF NO: restart process at "Identify needs for recruiting"
  • IF YES: proceed to the next player question
        The player then has to decide if they want to go to Chatham

  • IF NO: restart process at "Identify needs for recruiting"
  • IF YES: proceed to the application process to Chatham
        The player, if the previous two responses are yes, then applies to Chatham. It is now the process responsibility for Chatham to insert application information into the application system/database. Chatham then makes a decision: Do we want this student at Chatham?

  • IF NO: restart process at "Identify needs for recruiting"
  • IF YES: proceed to setting up a new student orientation
        Chatham then sets up the new student orientation and contacts the prospective student athlete regarding the orientation. The process then shifts back to the student to attend  Chatham's orientation. After this, the process shifts back to the coach to set up a practice time with the Chatham Women's Soccer Team and engage in the first practice with the new player. After the first practice, the recruitment process ends.
